Iconic Heads is the concept of taking some of the most known Iconic hairstyles, either synonymous with a particular person or a prolific haircut, and recreating them into the form of a hat/wig using various materials including Felt, PVC, plywood, and crystals.

Iconic Heads came about as a brainwave whilst Neil Moodie was thinking of a hair idea for a shoot for The Face magazine in 2004. On seeing a Rudi Gernreich book Neil Moodie saw images of the cloche cap that gave him the idea to create more hats in a similar vein. Not being a milliner, Moodie was looking for somebody to collaborate on the idea with. Stylist Grace Cobb introduced him to Flora McLean from House of Flora

… and so the project began.
